African Grey Parrot Sponsorships: $540/yr. ($45 / mo.)
Sponsored birds will have their sponsor's name on photos upon their request. A photo without a name most likely indicates an unsponsored bird. Thank you!

Bam is from a 1,000 bird rescue. Her wing was damaged at some point and she is unable to use it, but she is an incredible spirit... full of life and receptive to human attention.

Peadroh came to Project Perry from a home that took him in when their mother died. Sadly, Peadroh wasn't a good fit and he was a little "bitey" which apparently caused the caretaker to become angry with Peadroh often. Peadroh was missing the tip of his beak when we picked him up and it looked like it had been "broken off" with a tool.

Daisy came from an awful situation where she lost her sight due to trauma to her head. She lived in filth and was terrified upon her arrival. She is an absolute joy to have here and has overcome many of her fears. She sits next to the desk in the office and talks as well as play very often. Her toy brings her comfort and she often touches it to hear the sound it makes to know that it is still there. Daisy is an amazing survivor, plunged into a life of darkness and cast aside. She is loved.

Junipyr is a precious little guy who is quickly learning to love his cage free life. Junipyr was initially given up by someone who no longer had time for him due to her child, her boyfriend, and... you get the point. Junipyr was rehomed to Indiana from N. Jersey and given up on after 4 months pretty much. Greys require a lot of time and devotion, this young lady would rather shop, vacation, and live her life without the responsibility of a parrot. Junipyr's story is a very common story. Sad.

Toby is Matt's Parrot. She actually chose him of course. Toby was born in California. Shipped as cargo to the east coast where she lived in a child day care. When they relinquished her, she went to a rescue and was adopted out to people who ended up not wanting her because she doesn't talk. She chose Matt when he began to volunteer many years ago at a rescue and they've been together ever since. <3

Scrappy came from a dark and dusty basement in northwestern Virginia. She was captured in the wild, transported out of Africa to the United States, and became a breeder bird for the pet trade for many years before being "retired" from her job as a slave to human greed. She's an old gal, but she is a strong willed and beautiful lady.

Bonnie came from a self proclaimed "most amazing" breeder in Chicago. She is a wild caught parrot. She only has one eye due to an infection we fought here for months that we couldn't get under control with her medications. Our veterinarians operated and removed the bad eye. She still flies like always and she has adapted. She is a beautiful girl and she is a fighter.

Ollie is a wild caught ex breeder. He came from a cruelty case in Maine. His mate is Tallis.
