Sanctuary Public Policies – Effective August, 2022 (Updated August 2026)

We are (hopefully only) temporarily suspending our parrot sponsorship program for new sponsors.  Current sponsors may still visit with their bird when our time allows.

Visitation: Visits for Parrot Sponsors will be scheduled for Mid-March through Mid-October due to the shorter days as we are a medium-sized Sanctuary run by a just myself and Kirah.  Also, over the winter months there is a lot more "illness" going around.  We do not have the time to be sick as we are unable to lay immobile to rest when we fall ill.  Therefore, we must do our best to avoid getting sick altogether.  We do not operate as a ‘roadside zoo’ and as such, public visitation is limited. Additionally, our time to conduct visits is limited due to the daily work necessary to keep our residents and property properly and well-maintained.  

 

We will always do our best to accommodate our Lifetime of Care Members anytime throughout the year when a visit with the resident placed here is desired.
